The lake trip was alot of fun. As you can see from the picture posted, I was able to do some kneeboarding. Surprisingly I was able to get up on the kneeboard on my first try. The other couple of times I wasn’t able to – due partially because Josh was starting off the boat too fast. Several friends from high school were there. It was great to be able to remember old times.
Speaking of old times, I found the webpage for my old elementary school. To be quite honest with you, it isn’t that great. Seems to be alot of pictures with very little substance. It won’t even load on Netscape. The page was created using Powerpoint which is a terrible template for webpage creation. I have come to the conclusion that most school webpages are poorly designed. Speaking of which, Friendship Christian School’s webpage is down. It’s been down for several days ever since school started. I’m not sure what the problem is, but if I were a FCS administrator I’d be very upset about it. I remember a while back, they let some of the high school kids take over the web page for Friendship. It ended up being a bunch of animated gifs and really ugly looking. Their domain, fcsweb.net, sounds more like an internet service provider rather than a school. Why can’t they get an *.edu address?
At church they are getting things ready for Homecoming in September. They are actually going to bury a time capsule. I am really unsure what they are going to put in it. Perhaps old songbooks, bulletins, and other things. They are planning for 1000 people for Homecoming. I don’t actually expect 1000 people to show (more like 800).
